comfotable and quiet despite of the many children
nice room ,great price
would be nice to have a hand grip bar on wall next to toilet
It was a comfortable, clean place to stay and a good value for the money. The outside pool was exceptional, as well as the inside pool. The grounds were clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. ALso close to many good restaurants.
I did not find an elevator and could have used one since I was travelling with an elderly friend and we stayed on the second floor.
My husband and I started staying at the Mariner back in 1990, we would make several visit during the late fall and winter. We stopped going when they closed from October to April due to the economy. It is my favorite place to go when I am at the cape.
I miss the continental breakfast they would have.
Positives - price was cheap, people in the office were very nice
The place is in need of attention. Halls smell, arcade is non-existent, hot-water didn't work in room. (Luke warm) Shower had a used bar of soap in shower when we arrived, and rooms are noisy especially if you are on the 1st floor.
The ac didn't work correctly , the bathtub didn't drain and filled with water when you took a shower. I am handcapped and had to climb a set of stairs with my luggage. We were not impressed with our stay for the cost of our room , compared to the last time we stayed there.I Will look for lodging elsewhere next time we travel to the cape.
Quiet, clean,good location,good value for the$$
No Breakfast would like nicer sheets
The room was quiet, even with the balcony door open for fresh air.
The air conditioning unit made to much noise to sleep with it on. Had to shut it off and open the outside door.
Facility was clean, had an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor pool, small fridge in room, bbq grills outside, picnic tables, close to shopping, restaurants, helpful staff and decent price. Also the free coffee all day long was a bonus
No elevator (husband had to lug heavy suitcase up a significant flight of stairs. Would not recommend for older people who may have trouble taking stairs. Air conditioning unit in room went off everytime we left room so after being out and about all day long and being really warm, it took a long time to make the room comfortable. No room service which I prefer when I'm on vacation. When I left, and checked out, the girl did not even ask how everything was which I thought was poor customer service. Staff did not always inform us of all the costs of events. For example we paid 140.00 to go whale watching but there was a 15.00 parking fee. Some events did not accept credit cards and we had to go get cash from atm. These are things the staff should mention.
Very nice place for the family, the indoor pool great. to enjoy more, take a room at the first floor with acces to the outside table & chairs, an a view on the outside pool.
Rooms were old/dated and smelled strongly of cleaning solotuion.
The room was very basic with older TV but comfortable. The maid was very nice though and left us clean towels, soap, etc. at our door even though we didn't ask for room service.
the Cape is hugely overpriced in the summer so it's hard to judge value. The walls are very thin and we could hear the neighbors TV and talking. Also, people sitting outside at midnight kept us awake. No microwave, no kitchen in the hotel that we knew of - very basic accommodations
Room was big and clean. Bathroom was clean and amenities in hotel were very good. Indoor and outdoor pool were a big plus. Location was great, close to everything. Staff was friendly and room service top notch.
A/C was loud and we could hear the guests above us very clearly.
fair price, good location, nice staff, pools inside and out. Good for families, nice grounds.
The Mariner is showing it's age and could use a room makeover--especially the beds which are uncomfortable and the TVs which are old. The bathrooms are also lookong a bit tired. Still a good cape value however.
The motor lodge was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly. And although we did not take advantage of the pools, they were clean and larger than most motel pools.
